Health Advocacy Campaign – 1 was held on October 18, 2025, an initiative by the RHSTEP – UYP Chattogram Center.
This program was organized with the aim of increasing health awareness among adolescents, youth, parents, and working women. Sessions were conducted on Blood Grouping, Diabetes Testing, Blood Pressure Measurement, and SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) for women.
The session was chaired by Opu Dasgupta (Project Officer) with discussions led by Dr. Habib Al Musahid Tahsin and Dr. Jannatul Israt Anika. The meeting was moderated by Annie Chowdhury (Youth Officer)
The speakers stated, “The main objective of this campaign is to increase health awareness among the youth and to develop a positive attitude towards nutrition and menstrual health. We often see that discussing menstruation, reproductive health, family planning, or sex education is still a matter of shame for many in society, even though these are completely normal and scientific subjects.”
Participants in a quiz competition were awarded prizes at the end of the meeting.
