A workshop on SRHR awareness and youth leadership development was held at the initiative of (UYP Project), Rangpur. On September 24, 2025, with the theme “A healthy, prosperous, and inclusive homeland will be built through conscious and empowered youth”, the workshop on SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) awareness and youth leadership development was held in a joyous atmosphere with the participation of young men and women from different communities at the RHSTEP–Unstoppable Youth office located at Park Mor, Rangpur Sadar. The workshop was presided over by Mr. Animesh Roy, Project Officer of Unstoppable Youth, Rangpur, while the special guest was Ms. Madhuri Sutradhar, Area Coordinator, RHRN, BRAC, Rangpur. The event was conducted by Ms. Swarnali Acharya, Youth Officer, Unstoppable Youth, Rangpur. During the workshop, awareness on sexual and reproductive health and rights was enhanced among the participants through three segments titled “Awareness through Games”, “We: Pioneers of Change”, and “Know and Ask”.
In addition, young people were encouraged to play an active role in raising awareness and improving the health situation in their respective areas. The participating youth expressed their commitment and hope to work with RHSTEP–Unstoppable Youth (UYP Project), Rangpur, for improving health conditions in their communities. Through group work, they identified existing health problems in their areas, discussed possible solutions, and highlighted their potential roles as community representatives. At this time, area-based monitoring teams were also formed with the participation of youth from different localities. In the concluding session, sanitary pads were distributed among participants as part of promoting awareness on sexual and reproductive health and rights. Date: 24.09.25 Place: Rangpur
