About US

Unlocking Youth Potential (UYP) for SRHR and Health System Reform is a youth-led initiative working to advance inclusive, accountable, and sustainable health system reforms in Bangladesh. By harnessing the leadership, energy, and innovation of young people, UYP contributes to the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). UYP builds youth leadership and advocacy capacities and promotes meaningful youth participation in health policy and decision-making processes. We engage students aged 18–25 and young people aged 20–30, with a strong focus on young women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities. Our advocacy priorities include Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), gender equality, maternal health, and health-sector transparency and accountability. Through initiatives such as the Youth Leaders Resource Center (YLRC), Youth Lab, and Health System Hackathons, we equip young people with skills, networks, and technology-driven solutions—contributing to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality). Young Voices, Strong Health System

Our Mission

Through youth-led initiatives, partnerships, and technology-driven solutions, UYP works to strengthen Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), promote gender equality, and contribute to a transparent, inclusive, and sustainable health system in Bangladesh.

Our Vision

To see a Bangladesh where youth—especially young women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized communities—actively shape health policies and systems, ensuring Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), gender equality, transparency, and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) for every citizen.
