🏥 Health Advocacy Campaign in Barishal
The ‘Health Advocacy Campaign-01’ health program was held on October 30, 2025, organized by the Unlocking Youth Potential (UYP), Barishal Center
📋 Initial Activities
- At the start of the program, UYP volunteers helped measure everyone’s weight and height.
- They also conducted a questionnaire among the participants to increase health awareness.
🩺 Expert Services Provided
Specialist doctors and health workers offered important services during the day-long campaign:
- Bithika Bose (Community Paramedic) completed blood grouping tests.
- Tripti Biswas (Senior Staff Nurse) checked everyone’s diabetes level.
- Dr. Manisha Chakraborty consulted patients, provided treatment, and offered counseling on nutrition and mental health.
- Dr. Tawhid Hossain MOMCH(FP) (Upazila Family Planning Office) and Dr. Shah Adnan MBBS (DU), PGT (Medicine) (South Apollo Medical College and Hospital) provided necessary advice for general illnesses and health problems.
✨ Key Benefits
- Free medicine was given to all patients from the campaign.
- Sanitary napkins were distributed among the adolescent girls as part of the health awareness program.
Finally, Salma Khanam, Project Officer of UYP, Barishal Center, announced the end of the program.
