On 6 December 2025, the “Health Advocacy Campaign-02” was organized by (UYP) Khulna Centre at the People’s Field in Khalishpur. The event ran from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and was presided over by Advocate Begum Akhtar Jahan Ruku, Senior Advocate, District Bar Council, Khulna.
The overall supervision of the program was conducted by Sujoy Chowdhury Sammo, Project Officer of UYP Khulna Centre, and Youth Officer Noshin Tabassum. In her welcome speech, Noshin Tabassum highlighted the purpose, importance, and process of SRHR and the health awareness campaign.
As the chief guest, Advocate Begum Akhtar Jahan Ruku emphasized women’s empowerment and said,
“Today’s initiative by the young generation is truly admirable. Awareness on women’s empowerment, gender equality, and SRHR will help young people develop leadership and contribute to social progress.”
During the main event, four service booths provided height measurement, BMI checks, blood pressure monitoring, blood grouping, and distributed iron tablets and sanitary pads. Mentor Noorani Hajera offered participants basic SRHR-related guidance.
At the RHSTEP–UYP corner, campaigns were conducted on the 109 helpline, prevention of child marriage, gender equality, and women’s empowerment. Stickers, leaflets, and posters were also distributed. Blood grouping services were carried out by Afsana Rukhsana, a nurse from Khulna Medical College.
The active participation of volunteers and attendees created a festive and energetic environment throughout the campaign.
The program concluded with Project Officer Sujoy Chowdhury Sammo officially closing the day’s activities.
