October 26, 2025, a follow-up reporting program on “Adolescent-Friendly Health Service Monitoring” was held at hospitals in Chattogram district, organized by the RHSTEP – UYP (Unlocking Youth Potential) Watchdog Group at the RHSTEP Training Room, Chattogram Medical College Hospital Center. Members of the Watchdog Group carried out monitoring activities at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, Chattogram General Hospital, Chattogram Mother and Child Hospital, and Marie Stopes Clinic, based on which a comprehensive report was compiled. The event was chaired by Apu Dasgupta, Project Officer of the Unstoppable Youth Chattogram Center. Among the attendees were Dr. Delwara Akter, Program Coordinator, RHSTEP Chattogram Medical College Hospital; Rajib Barua, Chattogram correspondent of Channel 71; and Monirul Islam, Unit Manager, RHSTEP Chattogram Medical College Hospital. The meeting was facilitated by Youth Officer Annie Chowdhury. The Watchdog Groupās report was presented by its leader, Shraboni Chakraborty. Speakers emphasized, “The efforts of the RHSTEP Watchdog Group to ensure effective monitoring and accountability in adolescent health servicesāthrough meaningful youth engagementāare both necessary and vital. With the youth comprising a large segment of Bangladeshās population, their energy, insights, and drive are invaluable assets. By visiting hospitals and community clinics, young participants have observed the genuine conditions of services, pinpointed shortcomings, and identified opportunities for improvement. Their report is not simply a criticism; it is the collective voice of a conscious generation seeking changeā’We demand a transparent and accountable adolescent-friendly health system.'”
