Adolescent Health Service Monitoring in Barisal
On October 27, 2025, the ‘Unstoppable Youth’ watchdog group from RHSTEP’s ‘Unlocking Youth Potential (UYP)’ program conducted a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of Adolescent-Friendly Health Services (AFHS) in Barisal District. Ten youth members, divided into three teams, assessed the quality of services at six health centers, including Union Health and Family Welfare Centers, a City Health Center, Mary Steps Bangladesh, Surjer Hashi Clinic, and FPAB. The monitoring utilized a detailed checklist to evaluate the service environment, confidentiality, accessibility, staff sensitivity, and client satisfaction. Following the field visit, a final report presentation and workshop were held at the UYP Barisal Center, attended by the Upazila Family Planning Officer and UYP officials, where the watchdog members shared their key findings and field experiences.
