Disability-Inclusive Health Initiative: Targeted Interventions to Include Young People with Disabilities – 01, Barisal

On October 15, 2025, UYP organized a workshop titled

Through the training sessions and open discussions held at the workshop, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences, problems, and opinions. The main objective of this joint arrangement of training and dialogue was to include young men and women with disabilities in healthcare and increase their awareness. This was done to ensure access to information on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), remove barriers to accessing services, and inspire everyone about the importance of inclusive healthcare.

The event was attended by young representatives and students with disabilities from Stadium Colony, Palashpur Colony, Shishu Park Colony, and Rasulpur Colony, as well as colleges and high schools. The program was moderated by Navin (Advocate), followed by a welcome speech by Joyhari Biswas (Youth Officer). The session was conducted by Subir Kumar Saha (Nutrition Monitor, Barguna). Following this, the special guest, Prashant Kumar Biswas (Upazila Assistant Social Service Officer), delivered his speech.

Finally, Salma Khanam (Project Officer) concluded the event with a closing speech.
