Health Awareness Drive at Gulni Tea Garden
The Unlocking Youth Potential (UYP) Sylhet Center successfully organized a day-long Health Advocacy Campaign at Gulni Tea Garden on October 26, 2025. The campaign aimed to raise awareness among local adolescents regarding Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), nutrition, and primary healthcare. Services provided included counseling on food and nutrition, SRHR awareness sessions, blood grouping, diabetes testing, blood pressure measurement, and weight checks. Essential SRHR-related items like brushes, leaflets, napkins, and soap were also distributed. The event was overseen by Youth Officer Mehedi Hasan, with key presence from the Panchayat head, garden manager, Nutritionist Dr. Sheikh Tawhida Rahman, and other health officials. This initiative marked an effective step towards boosting health awareness and fostering a positive attitude towards reproductive health among the tea garden youth.
